Roles & Responsibilities

  • Research: Collaborate with User Experience Research to identify common customer and operator pain areas, as well as product opportunities and objectives.
  • Ideate: Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Operations to develop vision and product strategy while iteratively exploring solutions.
  • Design journey maps, process maps, information architecture diagrams, wireframes, high-fidelity mock-ups, prototypes, and other tools to visualize challenges and solutions.
  • Communicate: Bring together stakeholders and your team around your vision and methods. Showcase your work and the reasoning behind design decisions.
  • Collaborate: Understand when and how to engage with Product, Engineering, and Operations from discovery to implementation. Work with teams in the United States to coordinate operations.

Technical skills:

  • Experience in real estate, fintech, or other operationally challenging industries is all relevant to our business.
  • Experience with large-scale operations: Opendoor manages real estate operations at scale by strategically deploying people, processes, and technology.
  • Service Design: Experience and familiarity with service design
  • Experience and experience with systems thinking methodologies.
  • Analytical: Understanding business analytics and how they influence design decisions.
  • Technical Background: Technical foundation will enable designers to work more closely with our engineers.
  • Management Experience: This is a position that could benefit from the capacity to evaluate how to improve the bigger business.


  • The successful candidate will have a self-motivated, get-it-done attitude; the ability to think critically; enjoy working with teams spread globally and across cultures; a desire to learn in new areas; and the discipline to pay attention to deadlines, details and quality.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.


Bachelor’s Degree in Related field


At least 8 years of relevant experience, particularly in the business/enterprise arena, working on complex projects as part of a Product Design Team.

Selection Process
Online Test:

The online test for Vahan includes questions about different types of questions in sections like  Quantitative aptitude exam, Reasoning ability exam, and Verbal Ability ability exam or English grammar. The duration of the test is about 60 minutes. Each section of the test Quantitative Ability, Reasoning, and Verbal Ability have seperate time allocated to them and all questions of that section need to be completed in that period. The candidate can attempt questions in any order but cannot attempt among the other sections which means that the candidate has to finish one section (like reasoning) first and then he/she can move to other sections.

Technical Round:

The candidate who successfully clears the initial screening process will proceed to the Technical Round. Evaluate your proficiency in fundamental and advanced concepts relevant to the role of a Senior Product Designer. Expect inquiries spanning various domains pertinent to your responsibilities. Demonstrate your proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, Figma, or others. We may also assess your knowledge of front-end technologies and design systems.

HR Round:

Upon successfully navigating the Technical Round, candidates proceed to the HR Round, which focuses on assessing cultural fit, interpersonal skills, and alignment with the company’s values and vision. Describe your leadership style and experiences leading teams or collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders. Discuss your approach to fostering a positive work environment, resolving conflicts, and motivating team members.
